Simply Inspired May Blog Hop ~ {CTMH} "Free To Be Me" National Scrapbooking Special

Welcome back to our "Simply Inspired Blog Hop!"
If you just hopped over from the amazing Karen Pedersen's blog, then you are on the right track!

Today we are featuring the delicious "Free to be Me"
exclusive paper kit. This beautiful kit is only available in May as a National Scrapbooking Promotion!
Find out {HERE} how you can get your own!

I love the embossed solids and the trendy vellum!  You must see it in person!
SO…about my creative process.
Today was "Git r done" day!
That's right, no time to mull it over…just grab and go!
I spread out my papers and loved the Aqua and Red combo.
Even though it has a "feather" theme throughout, I kept seeing a "Vintage Travel Trailer Vibe"
AND my favorite new set is our cute little camper crazy set!
I'm convinced it was made just for me!
(Since I am restoring my own 1956 Deville)

So out came the stamps…

I went into my happy crafty space and looked around at what I had that I wanted to alter.  Oh yes, our new card box! PERFECT…

The creative process began…and so here are a few of my TIPS to share…

Sometimes a pop of black is a must to help an item stand out.
I love using our zip strips and cutting them apart.
I used the words mounted on black for my box.
It's like a free embellishment on each piece of background & texture paper!
Don't forget to work on an old magazine when using our wonderful bonding memories glue.
Just flip the page for a clean surface!
Got a little glob of glue on your paper, use our rub & remove eraser! Works like a charm!
Coloring in an image? I like to outline in grey for a shadowed effect.
And don't forget the embellishments!
Dots, ribbon, washi tape…done.

Sweet and Simple.
Perfect to hold your A-2 standard cards and envelopes!

When coloring, I always stamp a few images in case I mess up…so I had an extra camper ready to go.
Then…I was starring at my scraps and decided to
"Craft my Stash" and
whipped up a quick easy card…I just started piecing and gluing…
These are pieces that many chuck in the trash.
Not me…hello, not bad from my scraps!

YOU can make one too!  It's so fun and easy!

Now that's thinking outside the feathered box!

Now wasn't this fun?

I have a cute layout I made of my travel trailer using Studio J!  Came back for visit and I will post it for you to see! Easy Peasy!!!
